Terms & Conditions

The basis on which The SEND Practice provides its services.

Draft. These terms are being finalised and will be confirmed before The SEND Practice begins taking clients. Items marked “to be confirmed” will be completed then.

1. The service

The SEND Practice provides independent educational SEND consultancy and specialist educational assessment. Advice is based on educational expertise and on the information you provide.

2. What the service is not

The SEND Practice does not provide legal advice, SEND Tribunal representation, welfare-rights advice, financial advice, medical or clinical diagnosis, medical treatment or psychological therapy. It does not diagnose autism or ADHD, and does not currently offer diagnostic dyslexia assessment. Services do not replace appropriate legal, clinical, psychological, medical or welfare-rights advice.

3. No guarantees

We cannot guarantee the outcome of any decision made by a school, local authority or other organisation, including decisions about EHC needs assessments, EHCPs, EOTAS, exam access arrangements or DLA/PIP awards.

4. Fees and scope

Fees are shown on the Services & Fees page. Where a service is priced “from”, the scope and final fee will be agreed in writing before work begins. The SEND Surgery does not include significant reading time beforehand. Meeting attendance is not included in any service unless agreed separately.

5. Booking, payment and cancellation

Payment terms, and the policy for cancelling or rescheduling appointments: to be confirmed.

6. Contact between appointments

The SEND Practice does not provide an emergency service, 24/7 support, unlimited email contact or ongoing case management unless specifically agreed. We do not contact your child’s school or other professionals without your agreement.

7. Your information

Please see the privacy notice.
